Returns and refunds

If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 days, without giving any reason. The period runs from the day on which you — or a third party named by you, other than the carrier — take physical possession of the goods.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement of your decision (for example by email) before the period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form set out below, but it is not compulsory. The deadline is met if you send your notice before the 14 days end.

You may unpack and inspect the goods to the extent you would in a physical shop. Opening the packaging does NOT cancel this right — there is no requirement that the goods be returned unopened. If, however, the goods lose value through handling beyond what is needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may reduce the refund accordingly, and we will tell you in advance.

Return postage (statutory withdrawal): you bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Please send them back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you notify us of your withdrawal.

We refund all payments received, including the cost of standard delivery, no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice, using the same means of payment you used unless we agree otherwise. We may withhold the refund until the goods come back to us, or until you supply proof that you have sent them. If you chose a delivery method more expensive than our cheapest standard option, the difference is not refunded.

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons if the seal has been broken after delivery.

In addition to the statutory right above, Atelier Colors offers a voluntary return within 45 days of the date of purchase. This is our own goodwill offer on our own terms and does not limit or replace your statutory rights.

For a voluntary return the product must be in the same condition in which you received it and, where possible, in its original packaging — unopened and undamaged. This condition applies ONLY to the voluntary 45-day window; it never applies to the statutory 14-day withdrawal described above.

Return postage (voluntary return): the cost of returning the goods is borne by you, unless we agree otherwise or the law provides otherwise.

Once a return reaches us we do everything we can to process the refund promptly. Once initiated, the amount is returned to your card or original payment method; how quickly it appears depends on your payment provider.

Once the refund has been processed we send confirmation to the email address given with the order.

For parcels sent without tracking we cannot independently verify their delivery, so we can issue a refund only if the parcel actually comes back to us. If you want cover in the event of loss, we recommend choosing a tracked delivery method.

For a tracked parcel that does not arrive within 45 days of dispatch, contact us — the order may be eligible for a refund. Such a refund does not include the delivery costs paid at the time of ordering, unless the law provides otherwise.

If an order is returned to us as undeliverable, we process the refund in line with this policy and applicable law; that refund generally does not include the original delivery cost, unless the law provides otherwise.

This policy does not replace your statutory rights as a consumer. Where applicable law gives you a right to return goods, withdraw from the contract or obtain a refund on different terms, those statutory rights take precedence over this policy.
